Innovating Solutions to Modern Problems
The performance of PyTesseract and EasyOCR have been studied thoroughly on a novel dataset introduced by our team titled, "Bangla-CrossHair" available on Kaggle. The code for benchmarking will be made publicly available upon publication of the paper. This work was done in collaboration with InteX Research Lab.
Our team studied the performance of ResNet50 with the linear SVM classifier in a novel algorithm on their dataset for license plate recognition. They studied the performance with different optimizers in the setting. Furthermore, they developed a novel OCR engine for Bangla character recognition in Matlab. The findings have been shared in the research paper.
The students built a fully functional, highly scalable and robust Open AI Powered Voice Assistant. They optimized the CPU performance in order to improve efficiency. The robots task to be able to answer any department related question. This robot is able to answer any department specific questions effortlessly.
